What We Do?

Everyone in this world has their own right to have education as stipulated in Article 26 of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Thus, the activities we do should reflect at least to the declaration and the principles for achieving “Education for All” (EFA) which are based on the six goals set during the World Education Forum in Dakar, Senegal, in 2000. These principles outline the essential elements needed to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all individuals. Here are the detailed criteria for EFA:

1. Expanding and Improving Early Childhood Care and Education

  • Access: Provide accessible early childhood education programs, particularly for vulnerable and disadvantaged children.

  • Quality: Ensure that early childhood education programs are of high quality, with well-trained staff and appropriate learning materials.

  • Comprehensiveness: Integrate health, nutrition, and education services to support the holistic development of children.

2. Ensuring All Children Have Access to Free and Compulsory Primary Education

  • Accessibility: Eliminate barriers to education such as fees, discrimination, and distance to schools.

  • Completion: Ensure that all children complete primary education.

  • Inclusivity: Address the needs of marginalized groups, including girls, children with disabilities, and those in conflict-affected areas.

3. Promoting Learning and Life Skills for Young People and Adults

  • Relevant Curriculum: Develop curricula that provide life skills, vocational training, and practical knowledge relevant to young people and adults.

  • Access to Programs: Ensure equitable access to non-formal education and skill development programs.

  • Employment Linkages: Connect education programs with employment opportunities and market demands.

4. Achieving a 50% Improvement in Adult Literacy

  • Literacy Programs: Implement adult literacy programs that are accessible, especially to women and disadvantaged groups.

  • Learning Materials: Provide adequate learning materials and resources tailored to adult learners.

  • Community Involvement: Engage communities in promoting adult literacy and lifelong learning.

5. Achieving Gender Parity and Equality in Education

  • Gender Parity: Ensure equal enrollment and retention rates for boys and girls at all education levels.

  • Gender-Sensitive Policies: Develop and implement policies that address gender-based barriers to education.

  • Empowerment: Promote the empowerment of girls and women through education, ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed.

6. Improving the Quality of Education

  • Teacher Training: Invest in the training and professional development of teachers to enhance teaching quality.

  • Learning Outcomes: Focus on measurable learning outcomes in literacy, numeracy, and essential life skills.

  • Educational Resources: Provide adequate educational resources, including textbooks, technology, and infrastructure.

  • Assessment Systems: Develop and implement effective assessment systems to monitor and improve learning outcomes.

Therefore, we appreciate for any person, group, or institution which has applied or has strong willingness to apply for the above principles by:

  1. Providing guides to apply for the principles through workshop, seminar, or lecture.
  2. Facilitating financial support for researches and community services.
  3. Promoting and giving award to a person, group, or institution applying the above principles.
  4. Validating a program or curriculum of education for all.
